CVE-2026-53264 (CVSS 7.8) is a use-after-free race condition in the Linux kernel's net/sched traffic-control subsystem, specifically in tcf_idr_check_alloc() , the function that manages shared traffic-control action objects.
The bug comes from a lock/RCU mismatch: one code path can look up an action object under RCU read-side protection while a concurrent delete path removes it from the IDR and frees it immediately, without waiting out the RCU grace period the read side assumes it gets.
